Students and Parents:

County has given us a great tool to teach our classes through online learning.

Canvas (once read, angelic choirs should begin to sing....well, in my head they do)

ALL assignments will be listed in Canvas unstil we begin meeting face to face once more.  This is per the county.  I will continue to host Blogspot but again, we have to provide content through Canvas.  I should have some short complementary video's to help with the lessons/learning objectives as we develop this further....all which will be archived for you.

Marketing - ALL future daily submissions and assignments will be completed through Canvas, not Quia.  All old assignments that a few of you are working on will still be hosted by Quia.

                3.01 and after = Canvas      

APCSP - Look at Canvas for your daily Assignments.  The work will take place still on Code.org, but Submissions will be through Canvas so the admin and County can track my teaching better.  The Assignments will tell you what to do.  Yes, we have to justify our pay now more so than ever before.  Call/email - murphyk2@gcsnc.com/text me as questions arise.

Digital Portfolio due date extended for all students to May 26 at 11:59 p.m. ET

In light of this, we are dropping Unit 4 Lessons 7-9

We will look at Unit 4, Lesson 10 as a primer for the Explore PT

In addition, we will need to work through Unit 5....somewhat together, mainly you.  I will provide mini lessons for what I can to cover the nuances and potholes I know that are looming ahead for most of you.

Keep in contact.  Ask lots of questions.  I am available expanded hours for you, the APCSP kids.

As you read above, This week assignments are suspended until next week.  Text/call/email me if technology is prohibiting you accessing the curriculum.

In light of this twist, for some of you, this is a huge blessing.  Again, if it was late/missing last week, it is still late or missing.  You really need to complete your missing and now late assignments.  Email me as the class protocol dictates and I will grade on a daily basis.

No word yet from AP.  Friday, March 20 they will give us guidance for the AP Submissions and Testing.

Opening Thought:
Wanda works in marketing for a health food company. For the latest ad campaign, Wanda wants to focus on the benefits of eating healthy food, such as weight loss and improved immune system. When casting people to be in her ads, Wanda chooses extremely thin, fit actors because she believes they will persuade people to buy the company’s products. If viewers see these people eating the food in the commercial, they will think that they can achieve the same look from buying and eating her company’s products. Is this an ethical promotional technique? Or is it deceptive?
