10/31 Boo! hahahahah

SEM
So we have talked about expenses, Facility Management, and a bit about Event Management.

So what about the real economic impact of an event.

Seeing that it is Halloween (bwah ah ah ha h ah ah ha ha - Thunder/lightening), I want to know the economic impact of Halloween. Clearly there must be economic justification to themadness we endure every year.

In fact, while we are on this subject, What was the economic impact of the Furniture market to our city/region?

After this we will proceed with 4.02 and complete in the next day or two.

Thanks!

SEMII

Welcome in to a wonderful day. Hopefully Tennis will begin today and the Conference matches will complete with the SW ladies coming out victoriously in the end.

As in everyday I cannot make it with you, therein lies a contract, an agreement concerning my expectations for the day on your behalf.

Play nicely with the activity I left you and be rewarded...a bonus quiz, test, etc.
Play poorly and there will be dire consequences.

If the teacher has to put your name down on paper or talk with me concerning your behavior upon my return, Mr Murphy will be none too happy. Neither will you when I see you next. Be what I know each of you can be, the success I know you are today.

HSM
So as not to burn time off of our already short semester together, in my absence, on my birthday, I left you an assessment as I have promised. Your half or front sheet in hand, you should have no problem working through the material presented.

Upon half way through, you should begin to wonder why you didn't read the material, instead, took the easy way out by cramming and copying another person's notes. Oh well!

In my absence, today will also have it reward. You will be rewarded for doing well today and not disturbing the powers that be.

As always, have fun.

Thursday...one more day to Mr Murphy's birthday.

Quotables:

"Maturity has more to do with the types of experience you've had, and what you learned from them, and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated."

SEM:
We began Tuesday with the NC state-wide facilities project.
Bringing it a bit closer to home,
We will repeat this exercise, but with only High Point in mind.
Close surrounding areas, but not Greensboro, W-S, Lexington.
High Point, Thomasville, Archdale/Trinity, Oak Ridge only please.

15 facilities. Minimum of 5 of each type (Sports and Entertainment facilities)

HSM:
Hope everyone's College visit (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) went well.
Especially you Ms. Lenio.

Test has been changed...tomorrow.
Friday is the new golden day to celebrate Mr Murphy's birthday.
I am partial to fudgy brownies, not crappy dried out ones.

We will continue Chap 6 - Business Marketing.

Enjoy!

10/3 5 weeks done, let us now get to work

Quotables:
The Latest Decalogue

Thou shalt have one God only; who
Would be at the expense of two?
No graven images may be
Worshipped, except the currency;
Swear not at all: for, for thy curse
Thine enemy is none the worse;
At church on sunday to attend
Will serve to keep the world thy friend;
Honour thy parents; that is, all
From whom advancement may befall;
Thou shalt not kill; but need'st not strive
Officiously to keep alive:
Do not adultery commit;
Advantage rarely comes of it;
Thou shalt not steal; an empty feat,
When it's so lucrative to cheat;
Bear not false witness; let the lie
Have time to on its own wings to fly:
Thou shalt not covet, but tradition
Approves all forms all forms of competition.

~Authur Hugh Clough (1819-1861)

SEMII
1st block - Event planning. Please open up 3.03. Read (yeah, I know), read the activity and begin. Good luck. I will pop in during the class of the class to make sure you have details needed to make it a successful project. This will count as both a test (10point) and a quiz (5 point). Please do not slack off or your grade will be no help to you, rather to the detriment of your grade. You will be asked to present your event.

Good luck!

3rd Block - Test. Spend approx 10-15 minute studying. We will begin the test immediately upon return from lunch. Yes, please look over the expenses worksheets again. Quiz each other and get ready!

HSM
1/ Tests handed back. I need corrections on Wednesday. Version of test, questions written, correct answers given, page from the book where the answer was found required as well. Also include the original answer sheet. Thanks!
