Monday, January 30, 2017 88 days remaining, but hey!, Who is counting?

Quotable

Appropriate complexity and risk

The best time to experiment in the kitchen is if you don't have 11 guests coming for dinner in three hours.
Or, at the very least, be sure to have some decent frozen pizzas on hand, just in case.
We often sign ourselves up for long, involved entanglements, and a good thing, too, because they can enable us to produce real value.
But our promises matter, and there's no need to raise the stakes at the same time that we're figuring things out.
Professionals leave themselves an out.

1.01 Objectives
  1. Describe responsibilities of sports agents.
  2. Explain the rules and regulations governing sports agents.
  3. Discuss an athlete’s advantages in having a sports agent.
  4. Describe problems associated with sports agents.

Select an athlete whom you admire, and research the person to determine the person’s agent. Find out as much as possible about the agent’s activities, and record your findings.

According to rules and regulations governing high school/college athletes, athletes lose their amateur status    once they contact a sports agent. Participate in a debate as to whether this rule is fair to young players. Provide specific examples to support your stance.
