The first part (30 min) of class will simply be the reading and extraction of key material from two wonderful articles.

The first, a short one concerning the set up of a U2 concert and everything involved in getting it to fruition.  Page 22-23 Feb/March 2012

The second, Super Bowl XLV, pages 36-40 Oct/Nov 2012 or around there.  No, this wasn't the most current one, rather, the one in Dallas at the new stadium...yes, the $1.3 Billion dollar one. 

Both concern themselves with facility managers and their roles within the context of these two high visability events.

Your job is to read both and list out (word document) the particular challenges the event team/manager faced in putting on such a show in each event.  Note the time required and the expense that most assurdily that came with the territory in hosting such an event. 

Thirdly, I wish you to find another article in any of the Facility Manager publications and tell me about it in one paragraph.  The third article must have something to do with the subjects we have dealt with in this class. 

These are not to be printed out.  All are to be done in the same word.doc.  You can email them to me.

Make sure you have your name and class block on each paper and in the subjectline of each email.

This will help me greatly.

The video will begin ~ 30 min into class....and last ~ 45 minutes.

The assignment is due by the end of class.
